PQS Congratulates 2020 Healthcare Quality Innovation Challenge Winners and Finalists
Pharmacy Quality Solutions, Inc., (PQS) congratulates The University of Pittsburgh team for winning first place in the third annual Pharmacy Quality Alliance (PQA) Healthcare Quality Innovation Challenge (HQIC). This award presentation took place during the online PQA Annual Meeting on May 14, 2020.
The HQIC is an event open to pharmacy schools across the country interested in leveraging technology to create a solution to improve healthcare quality with a focus on measurement. The pharmacy teams that participate can collaborate on new and improved ways to advance quality measures in specific areas. Pharmacy school participants were rated on team presentations and their ability to answer questions from the judges’ panel. PQS has been a proud sponsor for the HQIC event for three years.
PQS applauds all finalist teams: University of Pittsburgh (1st place); Ohio Northern University (2nd place); and Touro College of Pharmacy (3rd place). Finalists were selected by a review committee representing PQA’s diverse membership. They were scored on the quality of their presentations and ability to answer questions by a panel of judges, who determined the winner.
